Some of the significant developments in fiber optic sensor technology which have occurred over the past 5 to 10 years are reviewed. Particular emphasis is given to advances in interferometric sensors, intrinsic distributed sensors, and Bragg grating based systems. A linear–quadratic–linear model is fitted to two-phase linear regression data. Only the width of the quadratic phase is estimated. The MLE is shown to converge at rate n−1/3 to an impractically complex limiting distribution, or more slowly. The asymmetric reduction of α-acetylenic ketones with the chiral complex [LiAlH4,N-methylephedrine,3,5-dimethylphenol] provides propargylic carbinols with 75 to 90 % enantiomeric excess. We have checked the consistency of recent phase-shift analyses with dispersion relations for the Nike Running Men Shox Monster White Silver Line πN scattering amplitude B± in forward direction. The set of Cence does not fulfil these relations. A set of the Saclay group shows fair agreement for Tπ < 500 MeV and systematic deviations for Tπ > 500 MeV. The solution of Donnachie et al. seems Nike Running Women Shox R4-D Blue White Blue to be in very good agreement.
